1. What is the difference between a Home Energy Review by Energy Trust of Oregon and a Home Performance Review by the Renovation Concepts Energy Efficiency Team?
A Renovation Concepts Home Performance Review is a more comprehensive assessment of your home energy systems compared to the Energy Trust Home Energy Review. Generally, homeowners may choose to have a free, 1-hour Home Energy Trust review and then decide to have a more in-depth Home Performance Review by the Renovation Concepts Energy team Building Performance Certified Contractor.
The Home Performance Review involves a detailed survey of your home and takes about 4-6 hours to complete. Using specialized diagnostic equipment, our building analyst conduct a blower door test that will pinpoint energy loss in your home. The review will analyze your heating and cooling systems, inspect the current insulation, identify gaps or holes in the building shell, investigate potential water intrusion and test for possible combustion safety problems. Next you will receive a final report which details the data and conclusions from the test including specific recommendations for improvement.
2. What happens after the energy-efficient measures have been identified?
After your home’s energy efficiency needs have been identified, the team at Renovation Concepts can make the improvements a simple and worry-free process. With decades of combined experience, our member team can recommend the best specialty contractors in Portland. The Renovation Concepts Energy Efficiency team can handle any improvement your home may need.
